MOLE PATROL

RCO Mole Patrol

blends Chlorophacinone, a historically sound toxicant (anti-coagulant) that has performed well in field and structural baiting applications for many years. The pellet is stabilized with Sustane for extended shelf life. The product of choice in commercial baiting projects as well as homeowner use.

Studies Support The Claim

Studies have shown single feeding control. Generally, it's used in a multi-feed format by the homeowner or professional. Baiting is easy and highly effective. University studies reveal RCO Mole Bait controls moles.

Baiting Throughout Year

Moles readily accept the pelleted bait throughout the year, even more readily during the winter months because of limited insect and worm populations available in the upper soil profile. Moles do not go dormant, as do certain squirrel species.

Safety and Palatability Improve The Bait Value

Enhanced palatability produces second generation anticoagulant results. Vitamin K-l is the effective antidote in the event of accidental consumption.

Sample Directions

This product may be used only in lawns, golf courses and other turf areas to control eastern moles (scalopus aquatios) star-nosed moles (Condylura cristata), or (Scapanus app.) moles that occur in the Western US. This bait must be applied under ground and must be applied manually. This product contains a slow-acting poison. Several treatments may be necessary to control mole infestations.

Subsurface Runways

Subsurface runways are detected as raised ridges of vegetation and soil caused by moles foraging just below the soil surface. These ridges are especially noticeable when grass on top of them yellows. Apply bait to each active runway identified. Using a 1/2-inch diameter dowel or metal rod (or other suitable implement) make a small opening in the top of the runway.

Conical Mounds and Deep Tunnels

Moles may also construct deeper tunnel systems 4-5 inches below the ground surface. Such deeper tunnel systems are betrayed by the presence of conical mounds. Resistance on the probe decreases abruptly once the tunnel is entered. To bait deeper tunnels, probe until a tunnel is located. Enlarge the probe hole as needed to accommodate the passage of bait.
