 We live in central
Florida.
I found small bugs that hop like fleas in our
back tiled room. I've sprayed store-bought pesticides.
This kills them but they keep returning. We were told by an exterminator they
were springtails [silverfish family]? How can we
keep them away forever?
Spring tails are common in your area. They are attracted to moisture. Many times, moisture problems in kitchens and baths attract spring tails. Make sure you have leaks fixed and that there are no moisture problems. Use a dehumidifier if possible. Exterior perimeter insecticide treatments using synthetic pyrethroids such as Bifen IT and D-Fense SC help keep springtails from entering the structure. |
