HOW DO PANTRY PEST TRAPS WORK?

These traps use a special moth pheromones(sex lure) that excite male moths. By trapping male moths, mating is disrupted and egg laying ceases. Continued use of the traps ensures any earlier laid eggs will be caught when they emerge as adults.

These pre baited triangular traps attract and kill male moths, disrupting mating and eventually controlling the pantry pest problem. The traps are designed to capture pantry moths including Plodia, Ephestia, & Lasioderma : Indian Meal Moths, Tobacco,Mediterranean Flour Moths, Almond Moths, Raisin Moths and Cigarette Beetles.

The Pantry Pest Trap (Safer) uses a powerful
attractant that has a strong effect on certain moths.
It has been used in commercial pest control to trap a variety of moths. These include many different species: Indian Meal Moth, seed moths, raisin moths,almond moths and tobacco moths.
All these moths are small and narrow (3/8" to 1/2" ).
They vary in color from a coppery brown to a mottled gray.
These pests are found world wide around dried goods and foods,including:
wheat, cornmeal,dried fruits, seeds, crackers, biscuits,nuts, powdered milk, dried pet food,bird seed,
chocolate,red peppers,tobacco, and cocoa beans.

• Place traps near the problem area, generally where dried foodstuffs are stored.
  Locations include the basement,pantry,kitchen or garage.
  
• Choose a location where the traps will get the most air circulation,
  but where it will not be damaged by swinging doors or traffic.
  
• The moths will find the traps when the trap is placed within 10 feet of the infested food source.
  
• Can be installed anywhere the moths are present, including basement , pantry,kitchen or other food storage areas. Select a site that has good air circulation, using one or two traps per room.

• With the dot facing up, insert the lure onto the inside bottom of the trap.
