Termidor
SC Insecticide
Termidor is made from a revolutionary new non repellent or "undetectable" chemical technology treatment.
That means termites cannot see, smell, taste or avoid Termidor.
Instead they contact, ingest, and share Termidor with their nestmates.
This is in sharp contrast to older liquid termite controls,
which rely on repellent barriers that termites can finds breaks in or avoid completely.
Compare to another termiticide/insecticide product that is classified as a nonrepellent or "undetectable"
called Dominion 2L. Dominion 2L is a generic form of Premise(the original non repellent), making it more economical.
What are the differences between Termidor and Dominion or Premise?
Dominion 2L and Premise both contain the active ingredient Imidacloprid.
Termidor contains the active ingredient Fipronil. Both active ingredients
are non-repellent which makes them quite different from other termiticide
soil treatment products which are repellents, in effect designed to
repel or keep termites away from a treated soil area, rather than killing
them. This means any minute gap in the treated soil can be detected
and exploited by the termites to gain entry in the building. This is
a major short-coming of the old-fashioned termite control alternatives,
far too often, with financially disastrous consequences.
When controlling termites,
the biggest difference in the products seems to be the length of
time that they remain active in the soil, when applied according
to termite
treatment instructions. Most exterminators that have used both
products say that they get 5 to 7 years out of Imidacloprid (Dominion
or Premise), as opposed to 8 to 10 years out of Fipronil (Termidor
SC).
Imidacloprid (Premise or Dominion) is labeled for ant
control around the perimeter of the home, with the exception
of native or imported fire ants, pharaoh and harvester ants. It
can also be used on ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as some
fruit and nut bearing trees, and interior plantscapes. For ants,
it can be used as often as once a month. Termidor is also
labeled for ant control around the structure with no restrictions
on any particular species, but not for use on any trees or plants.
For ants, it can be used no more than twice per year.
Both ingredients are excellent for use against termites and ants. Both ingredients are effective, time tested favorites of exterminators around the world. More importantly, both ingredients are now available to home owners to treat their own properties, and save lots of money in the process.
Do not use Dominion 2L or Premise with a termite bait system. A
preferred non repellent to use with a termite
bait system would be Termidor
Termidor SC 20 oz. will yield 12-24 gallons of finished product. Dominion
2L 27.5 oz will yield between 50-100 gallons. The table below will show the maximum label application rates and cost per gallon of finished yield.

SC FAQ'S
- Termidor
SC On Line Shopping
- Elimination of 100% of termites in efficacy and envionmental
test sites. Thru the testing , it has been proven 100% effective
against Subterranean
termites, including the challenging Formosan Termite.
- Kills individual termites two ways : by contact and
by ingestion.
- The technology of Termidor is an advancement over other termite
insecticides that are only repellent barriers.
Because Termidor is made up of a nonrepellent is is
undetectable by termites. The termites can't see, smell, taste or avoid
Termidor.
Instead they contact, ingest, and share Termidor with others in the
colonies.
Repellent termite insecticides can be avoided by termites by their detection,
Termidor solves that problem.
- When termites contact Termidor they transfer it ("transfer
effect") to others in the termite colony.
And because Termidor is a slow-acting termiticide, termites have plenty
of time to spread it throughout their entire termite colony.
And although the Termidor effect on individual termites is intentionally
slow, the overall colony management is fast: significantly faster than
bait systems.
- Termidor can be 2-6 times faster than a bait system Termidor
has a unique "transfer effect" manages termite colonies a lot faster
than termite bait systems.
And unlike a bait system, Termidor gives you 100% protection from Day
1. There's no long waiting period where termites are being attracted
to the bait.
- This combination of ingestion, contact, and "transfer effect" (which
is unique, and puts Termidor in a category by itself) routinely provides
100% termite control. No exceptions
- Termidor is long lasting. Government and other tests
in the US and abroad have shown that in almost 9 years there has been
no break or reduction in Termidor's effectiveness.

How to Calculate Termidor Usage for Termite Control
For termite control , one 20 oz. bottle will yield 12-24 gallons of finished solution.
You will need 4 gallons of mixed Termidor solution per 10 lineal feet.
- Measure your home's lineal feet. An average sized house is 200 lineal feet.
- Divide the lineal feet by 10
Example : 200 lineal feet home (20-10 foot sections)
200%10=20
- Use 4 gallons per 10 lineal feet.
Example : 200 lineal feet home
20 (10 foot sections) x 4 gallons of finished mixture of Termidor SC= 80 gallons
of finished mixture needed. This would require 4-7 20 oz.bottles, depending on which dilution rate that you use.

Termidor For Outside Ant Control:
Termidor offers the most effective, low-dose control of outdoor ants
available, with proven control of a number of nuisance ant species, even
with outdoor perimeter applications at the low rate of 0.06% active ingredient.
Termidor is labeled for carpenter
ants, argentine
ants, big-headed ants, odorous
house ants, and pavement ants
Ants foraging on Termidor-treated surfaces, ingesting Termidor through
normal feeding activity, or that are sprayed directly with the product
will die, but not before spreading Termidor through contact throughout
the ant population via the product's unique "Transfer EffectT." Termidor
is easily picked up by ants, and has a quick speed of kill - 1 to 3 days
- but is slow-acting enough to ensure transfer throughout the population.
